Description

Large Thai 19thC Rattanakosin period gilt lacquered bronze Buddha figure seated on a tiered stand holding a fan. Height 33cm, very heavy at over 6kg. Condition is very good with a few very minor losses and some rubbing to the gilding. I have included pictures of a similar but larger figure sold through Christie's a few years ago.

Provenance: purchased from an English private family collection. Please also see my other Thai bronze Buddhistic figure purchased from the same collection.
