Description

A handsome late 19th-century walnut-framed revolving desk chair, combining robust craftsmanship with generous proportions and classic club styling. The shaped, wraparound back is upholstered in richly patinated burgundy leather, deeply buttoned for both comfort and visual appeal, and finished with a line of close-set brass studding that continues along the scrolled arms.
The well-padded, gently out-swept arms are supported by a ring of finely turned walnut spindle supports above a solid, curved rail, lending the chair an elegant, architectural quality. The generously proportioned circular seat is similarly upholstered in supple burgundy leather with deep buttoning, providing a comfortable and inviting sit suited to desk use.
The seat revolves smoothly above a sturdy walnut base, raised on four slightly splayed legs united by a shaped stretcher, and terminating in original brass castors for ease of movement.
