Description

Artist - Bernard Gotch (1876-1986), a British watercolour artist best known for his paintings of the buildings and streets of Oxford.

Title - The Street, Buckland Monachorum

Medium - Watercolour

Details - Scene of a country lane with a lady and little girl in the foreground. Signed in pencil in one bottom corner. Mounted and framed in a more modern frame. Titled on the back of the frame. Also noted on the back of the frame is: 'Bought from Mary Gotch around 1975'.

Condition - Overall in good bright condition with good colours. There are a couple of spots of foxing. The frame and mount are in good clean condition. The frame has some scuffing and wear. The picture has moved in the frame.

The approx. measurements are as follows:

Frame - 54.5cm by 44cm, 2cm deep.
