Description

Artist - Anna Palm de Rosa (1859-1924), a Swedish watercolour painter.

Title - Avenue de Bois de Boulogne

Details - Lovely watercolour painting featuring a French street scene with horses and carriages. Undated, but probably early twentieth century in date. Signed and titled at the bottom. Mounted, framed and glazed in a gilt-painted wood and gesso frame of the same period. Pasted to the cardboard backboard is an old gallery label for the Kaplan Gallery of Cork Street in London stating the title, size and artist. Please note that we have not removed the painting from the frame.

Condition - Overall in very good condition with good colours. The painting is perhaps very slightly wavy in the mount. The gilt frame has some scuffing, chipping and wear with some losses to the gesso and to the gilt-paintwork.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Visible Image Size - 48cm by 33cm
Frame - 74.5cm by 59cm, 4cm deep.
