Description

This lovely bisque-head doll dates from c.1910. She has 'Germany 971 A 6 M DRGM 267' moulded into the back of her head. She has a bisque head with glass sleeping eyes, and an open mouth with two teeth. She has a jointed composition and papier mache body and bent composition limbs. She is wearing a vintage white underslip and Christening gown.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. She has some grubbiness and scuffing to the paintwork of her head including and some significant glue residue around her wig, which is loose. She would benefit from a careful clean. There is significant loss to her eyelids. Her wig is dishevelled. Her body has some chipping and rubbing around the joints and some manufacturing flaws as might be expected. It has some marks and stains. There is some chipping to her toes. Her clothing is good condition with some wear, grubbiness and discolouration. There are some stain marks to her Christening gown.
