Description

We are unsure of the exact origins of these items, but we believe that they may have been some type of railing (perhaps for a balcony). They are constructed from cast iron, whcih has been painted in a white / cream colour. They have attractive decoration that is very much in the art deco style and we would estimate them to date from around the 1930s. They lean slightly to one side, and present are two that lean one way and two that lean the other way.

Condition: Overall these railings are in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. They have the grubbiness and wear you might expect from a used outdoor item that has been outside for a number of years. There is some significant chipping and loss to the paintwork and some surface rusting and corrosion. There is some misshaping in places.

104cm high, 48cm wide (to maximums).
