Description

This attractive chaise dates from c.1890. It has a mahogany show frame with carved decoration and turned spindle supports to the arm-rest. The chaise is supported on turned legs and nice turned show columns at the front. It has a nice style and shape, but would benefit from re-upholstery and repolishing. The upholstery is not original.

Condition: Overall this could be a lovely piece, but it would benefit from being re-upholstered and re-polished. The frame is scuffed and worn and there is some movement in the joints. The springs underneath are rusty and the springs and stuffing have moved over time. The upholstery is dated, very dirty and worn and has some areas of fraying.

Overall - 73.5cm high, 185cm long, 70cm wide (to maximums) 33cm high to seat.
