Description

This lovely antique dressing mirror dates from c.1870. It is mahogany veneered over a solid wood carcass. The mirror is rectangular with serpentine supports and is adjustable. The base has two drawers with hidden handles underneath and is supported on turned bun feet. We believe the mirrored glass to be original and it is overall a lovely elegant piece.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some wood shrinkage cracking and chipping to the veneers in places, particularly around the mirror frame. The mirror has some black corrosion flecking.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 66cm high, 47.5cm wide, 23cm deep (to maximums).
