Description

This antique light shade looks to date from the first half of the twentieth century. It is a craftsman-made piece with large mother-of-pearl shells held together with lead. It has hooks inside and is designed to be hung from a light fitting. There are no maker's marks or labels.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The shade is overall grubby and has some marking and would benefit from a careful clean. There are some natural flaws in the shell and some manufacturing imperfections as might be expected. There is some glue residue in places.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
20cm high, 16cm diameter (to maximums).
