A Fine Quality Solid Silver Card/Vanity Case
Extremely well made
With beautiful deep cut floral engraving on front and back, does have engraved initials which just blend into the pattern
Inside with all Original gilt lining
Beveled edge mirror all nice and clear just a couple of nibbles to the top corners
Mirror opens with writing slate on the back, "one chip in the top left-hand corner"
Really nothing much to either of these
Nice slim Silver pencil which slides into the case and with led
Cardholder with a spring clip to hold personal cards in place
Opposite the mirror two compartments which original would have held face makeup, powder, and rouge
The case opens and closes perfectly and with very strong case hinge
The holding chain is Silver and does clip off
Though no hallmarks I have personally tested all this case and its test for a high grade of silver "above 925"
Size 2.1/2" x 3.1/2", Total weight 200 Grams
This is a real quality item c1900 and probably French and very usable today
