Description

A Fine quality Verge Fusee silver Pair cased Pocket Watch with chain driven movemnent
Early in date London 1835 with the name Geo Carruthers of Langholm stock number 19403 engraved on the movement , both the outer and inner case match and fit together fine
movement is working with a deep tick, and takes a full wind
The watch dial still in good condition apart from between the 4-5 oclock were slight damage been painted over with white enamel paint, not that noticeable, one or two light case bruses
slight bruse to the out front case 10 Oclock these are really nothing much for the age
Nice to still have the watch repaires papers inside the case
Case opens by pressing the side button
Alert watch chain much later in date , nice heavy weight and graduated in style with each link , and t-bar and fastner chip all hallmarked Biringham 1899, lenght of the chain 13" long
The nice Silver Fob dates to Sheffield 1914
The watch and chain look great together, comeas with old watch key
Like all old watch timekeeping is not guaranteed and please bear in mind with the watch working and looking clean inside i have not had the watch serviced
I understand the watch and chain have been in the same family for nearly over 100 years
