A very rare, fine quality, heavy solid silver pair cased key-wound pocket watch with a wonderful gilt fusee movement. George 111 Peroid 1806
It has a bright white face marked with Roman numerals and gold hands. The outer case and main watch body are fully London UK hallmarked for 1806, letter "L". The movement is marked "ANNESS Cheapside London" and numbered 8288, William Anness was recorded as making watches from 1796 to 1821. It measures about 5.6 cm wide, 7.8 cm long, 2.3 cm thick and weighs an impressive 129 grams in total. The outer case contains 3 old papers and the watch comes with a lovely period key

Condition:
Excellent condition overall for a watch of 215 years old, the watch runs well and keeps good time, it winds and adjusts accurately. There are very minor surface marks to the case and glass as you would expect to see, there are no dents. The case backs and front fit tightly and very securely, the dial is very good with no cracks and only a few tiny chips that are not easily noticed, You don't find many in this condition and still working, Lovely original Watch
