A Early Victorian Verge-Fusee Silver pocket watch dated London 1846 with later Silver Albert
chain C1900
The watch is still in very good condition and working with a strong tick
White enamel watch dial with black numerals gold coloured hands , dial does have light age
hairline which is usual for a watch of this age but really nothing much
Silver case in very good condition hinges all fine and nice original top loop
Good clear full silver Hallmarks on the inner case and on the loop
English Verge-Fusee chain driven movement with watchmakers name Joseph Taylor Pontefract
Engraved on the movement and he is listed in Loomes Directory
Comes with Silver Albert chain with graduated links which are all hallmarked , Hallmarks on the t-bar and fastener
Watch size 52cms diameter , Chain length 14" long , comes with old watch key
Please note Verge -fusee watch are wonderful skilled craftsmanship but not accurate time- keepers by modern standards
