It is a pleasure to offer this mahogany English double fusee table clock to the market. The case is of fantastic quality with the intricate carving, inlaid brass stringing and floral brass work the strolled top just finishes it off. The brass side frets with red silk add that finishing elegance also allowing the sound of the bell striking movement to be heard. The glazed back door is great for viewing the 8 day double fusee movement with pull repeat which has be fully serviced and cleaned to give piece of mind for many years to come.
The clock is a great size being only 56cm to the top of the centre finial and only 33cm wide. The case maintains its original finish. I have taken the Liberty of giving the case a sympathetic clean and a protective coat of wax but that is all. There is signs of age as you would expect from a clock made in the mid 19th century, but no major knocks or dents.
The unsigned 8 inch off white dial is in great condition with no major chips or large cracks. All in all this clock is a great example and is ready to take pride of place in its new home.
Any potential clients are very welcome to view the clock prior to purchase (or pay on delivery)to ensure that they are satisfied with their purchase.
This clock is much nicer in the flesh and looks superb .
If the asking price is paid in full then I will deliver and set up the clock free of charge to the English mainland,Wales and the Scottish lowlands.I will also provide a 12 months guarantee under these circumstances. This is the same service that is provided by a high street retailer without the customer having to pay for the overheads
If a lesser off is accepted then this will be sold as a trade sale with the clock as described and with shipping costs the responsibility of the buyer.
I will ship this clock worldwide .
