A George Fall watercolour of Buttermere in the Lake District. Framed and glazed.Painting 9 x 11 inches. Frame 16 x 19.5 inches
George Fall was born in Born York in 1848. He studied at the York School of Art.
He painted in oil but was best known as a watercolour painter. He painted mostly landscapes in the north of England York, Durham and the Lake District being common subjects. His work is often displayed at the York City Art Gallery.
