We are pleased to offer thus surrealist Thinned oil on card by the German born artist Karin Hauke, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner and dated it '81 for 1981. The painting depicts a sumboliset style study of two figures enbracing in a landscape.

We have found about half a dozen paintings by this artist, all dated in the 1970s or 80s. We understand that she lives and works in Benissa, Spain and is also a jewellery designer. Unfortunately, we have been unable to discover any further biographical details about her.

The painting has been newly double mounted in two-tone acid-free mountboard and is framed in a 2 3/4 inch wooden gilt frame with beaded inner edge. It will be supplied with new brass hangers, new brass picture wire and will be ready to hang.
