This Superb 19thC Continental Walnut & Marquetry Inlaid Side / Sewing / Vanity Table is in great condition, having a Rectangular, Beautiful Marquetry Inlaid Top, dressed with Ormolu edge banding, opening to reveal a Red Velvet and Decorative Banding Interior. Below the Top there is String Inlay to the Sides and Front, and Ormolu Edging and Decorative Motifs to the Hips and Knees of the Front Legs. The Table rests upon Four Ebonised Cabriole Legs, Interspaced with a Beautiful Inlaid Undertier Shelf, again with Ormolu Edging. There is a lock to the Table, of which there is a Key. This really is a Beautiful item, once possibly a Vanity Table, with perhaps a mirror fitted to the inside of the top, or even a Sewing Table, however it has many uses and would be a superb practical Focal point to grace any room in the Home.
