This Quality 20th Century Walnut Bureau by respected maker Waring & Gillow Ltd, is in great condition with a lovely Colour and Patina, having One Large Central Drawer with lock, and Two Smaller Drawers below, sat either side of the kneehole, all of Dovetail construction and running smooth, fitted with Brass Ornate Drop Handles, with a Ogee Edged Fall above, having Burr Walnut Veneer Quarters to the outside and Leather insert writing surface to the inside, a working Lock to which there is a Key, Opening to reveal a fitted Interior comprising One Central door with turn catch, flanked by various pigeon holes with decorative mouldings, and Two Small Drawers at each end fitted with Brass Handles. When the Fall is opened the stays extend out automatically supporting the Writing Slope when in use. The Bureau sits upon four shaped Cabriole Legs with Scroll carvings to the Knee and pad feet.
