A fine French strike‑repeat carriage clock, retailed by Le Roy, Paris, the high‑quality movement signed by the retailer and fitted with its original silvered platform escapement the clock displays a stunning silver‑masked dial with Roman numerals and a subsidiary alarm dial, all housed within a well‑executed gilded gorge‑style case fitted with a repeat button to the top, the whole representing the superior standard of carriage clocks retailed by Le Roy during the late 19th century. The movement is engraved by Leroy with his address.
