Description

An attractive late 19th/early 20th century mahogany and inlaid bijouterie or vitrine cabinet. The square top and door with satinwood crossbanding and box and ebony stringing, with glass to all sides and standing on a base with shaped apron and tapering legs terminating in spade feet. The door with a rococo style brass handle and working key for the lock, the interior with velvet inset display shelves supported by screw-in eyes.

Good solid condition, marks and scuffs commensurate with age, repair to crossbanding at bottom of door and back of top, lock works and comes with key. Small marks to stand will be polished out. The blue/green/grey velvet to the interior has faded/discoloured and is worn.
