Description

A large and most flamboyant piece of Losol Ware, which dates from c. 1915. The trade name was used from 1912 onwards. Hand decorated in shades of blue, depicting apple blossom, a macaw (yes a macaw) and topped with sumptuous sponged gilding, this is a commanding piece, not for the faint-hearted. It oozes style and flair and captures the essence of Art Deco. The underside of the bowl is dotted with random pale blue dots on a stippled darker background. The rim is gilded on the outside with a geometric pattern with inner gold dots and this pattern is mirrored on the inner rim. A very desirable and perfect piece.
