Description

This is a very pretty late Victorian 8 day timepiece carriage clock. The 140mm high brass case has a filigree frieze to the top and base, and fluted pillars to the sides, the 5 beveled glass panels are in excellent order. The gilt masked dial has a silvered ring with recessed black Arabic Numerals and is, complemented by a gilt filigree center and original blued steel spade hands. The 8-day movement complete with original silvered lever platform escapement is in fine working order.
