Description

An antique Joseph Fitter wind-out table with two fixed leaves and a drop-in third leaf. It has four turned mahogany legs with reeding, a mahogany frame, original brass and ceramic castors. The table tops are mahogany. We have matched it with a set of large vintage beech wheelback chairs of exceptional quality.

At The Fettling Fairies we specialise in antique wind-out tables and this one doesn't disappoint with its rich mahogany tops. We don't think the centre leaf originally came with this table, we have stained them all to obtain an even colour We gave the table a thorough service before commencing refinishing.

Multi-coat paint finish:

thorough preparation
professionally spray painted
two coats shellac based primer
one coat water based acrylic resin undercoat
two coats water based acrylic satin in 'Cornforth White'.
one coat water based matt varnish to table frame and chairs
four coats water based satin varnish to the table tops.
The table is 97cm long when not extended a (removable) winding handle is of course included.
