Description

A Royal Lancastrian Pottery vase, with mottled orange vermilion glaze, made by Pilkington's Tile and Pottery Co. Ltd., at Clifton Junction, c1930s. A wonderful decorative piece.

Fun fact: The Victoria and Albert Museum, London, includes a Lancastrian Vase with the same orange vermilion glaze in their permanent collection.

'3304' (shape number impressed on base). The Royal Lancastrian mark on the base was used between 1930 and 1937.

The orange vermillion colour works well with mauve and purple flowers. Try some Iris or Lavender with some white Allium and green Thlaspi.
