Description

This is a great French-Historicism twin handled oval jardiniere, from the second half of the 19th century, c1870, made of gilt bronze, bow handles, and an elaborately cast frieze cantered with a vacant cartouche. It stands on cloven hoof feet and is fitted with the original brass liner. The liner is removable.

The jardiniere is in very good condition with minimal surface wear commensurate with age. The brass tray presents the expected wear and denting from use.
