For sale today we have this superb "St Francis of Assisi" pottery plaque by the Compton Potters' Art Guild. A gorgeous piece of Arts & Crafts pottery to a design by Mary Seton Watts. Features St Francis in the woods wearing robes, with birds (one feeding from his hand) and a gilt halo. Measures 16.5cm x 11cm. Bears an impressed Compton Pottery Guildford stamp to the rear along with it's original hanging hook.
No chips, cracks or repair, some light wear to the tempera glaze.
