ARTS AND CRAFTS Antique Brass Chandelier/Ceiling Light W.A.S. Benson Style c. 1910 92cm highA rare Arts and Crafts planished brass 3 arm chandelier / ceiling light in the style of W.A.S. Benson complete with original ceiling rose & complemented by a set of 3 replacement swirl vaseline & cranberry glass lamp shades & hanging chains. The brass is of the highest quality & very finely worked, with a purely organic design synonymous of the Arts & Crafts Movement with hand planished highly elongated & stylised plant leaves and tendrils.
The chandelier, which is one of a matching pair for sale, is very similar in quality & style to the work of WAS Benson or another leading manufacturer from the Arts and Crafts period and would look magnificent in the correct setting.
Date: c.1910
Size: Chandelier maximum diameter 57cm high x 92cm current drop (which can be adjusted to suit).
Condition: A remarkable find in excellent undamaged condition. In full working order, rewired & ready to use with antique style silk flex. One of a matching pair available for sale.
