Pair of Arts and Crafts Marion Henderson Wilson Glasgow School Copper Candlesticks.A superb and scarce pair of Glasgow School copper candlesticks by Marion Henderson Wilson c1900.
With triangular section form stems terminating with spade form tendrils or hearts to the sconces and bases, the hand planished copper is overlaid over wood and attached with rivets.
Delicately and finely executed, these are a form that is seldom seen.
Considered as one of the “Glasgow Girls”, Marion Henderson Wilson attended the Glasgow School of Art from 1884 until 1896 and was a regular exhibitor at the Glasgow Society Lady Artists’ Club.
Size: 23cm height.
Condition: In excellent condition.
Date: c1900.
