Whitley Bay collectibles vintage powder compacts

A vintage souvenir compact c.1950 with a pictorial inlay which shows a reproduction in sepia of Whitley Bay. The pictorial inlay is charming & shows the beach & promenade in Victorian times. This is such a nice memento. The compact is in very good condition. The inner case is all gilt & this gilding has taken on the patina to look like copper. The beautiful gold tone mirror bezel is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND". The mirror gives a very good accurate reflection - just a couple of age spots on the mirror which do not detract from this vintage vanity at all.

This vintage powder compact measures 6 cm & weighs 40.6 grams.
