An exceptionally beautiful solid silver & guilloche enamel loose powder compact. This fully hallmarked sterling silver compact mirror was crafted by the esteemed maker, Mappin & Webb in 1969. The lid is decorated with the most quintessentially English hand painted floral composition. Pink, red & yellow poppies interspersed with ears of wheat, in colours that are as gorgeous and vibrant as they were in 1969! This vanity is in excellent condition. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. The hallmarks are unworn and easy to read. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The base is engraved with minute diamond shapes. This luxury loose powder compact measures 3" and weighs 106.8 grams. The original sifter is present and so this compact is suitable for all loose face powder or as a handbag mirror. An immaculate pouch made from good quality thick black felt is included with this item.
