A splendid hallmarked silver loose powder compact. This Scottish themed Henry Clifford Davis vanity was assayed at Birmingham in 1956. Thistles and harebells (sometimes known in Scotland as 'Scottish bluebells') adorn the lid, which is absolutely gorgeous. This compact mirror is in first rate condition. The clasp and hinge work exactly as they should. There isn't any loss of enamel, dings or fading. The mirror gives an excellent and accurate reflection. The base has a stylish engine turned design. A pristine pouch is included with this compact. Measures 7.6 cm (almost 3 inches) diameter and weighs 95.5 grams.
