A rare and highly collectible Stratton loose powder compact. This delightful vanity is decorated with a silk pictorial inlay which is rendered to have the appearance of an oil painting on canvass. A windmill framed by trees dominates the scene. There isn't any loss of design and the whole vanity is in excellent condition. This model (Stratton 'Scone without Inner Lid') is one of the most collectible of the Stratton brand vanities. The mirror gives a good reflection. The mirror bezel is signed 'STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The hinge and catch work perfectly. The base is decorated with a fine spiral. The original sifter is included. This compact is suitable for use with loose face powder or as a treasured collectible. A pristine pouch is included. Measures 3 inches diameter and weighs 66 grams
