An enchanting fully hallmarked continental silver box imported into London in 1915. Art Nouveau embellishments adorn the lid and sides. The whole piece has been professionally cleaned. It is gleaming clean and so adorable! The little box is in excellent condition. The lid lifts to reveal an interior stamped 925 (sterling silver). The base bears the sponsors mark (I D into a rectangle), London Assay import hallmark, 925 and the date letter u for 1915. Measures 5.2 cm x 5.2 cm. Weighs 32.2 grams. This box is not fitted, nor was it ever fitted with a mirror.
