A charming unused mid-century loose foundation compact mirror. Pristine needlepoint forget-me-nots and roses are depicted on lovely white georgette which is framed by an elegant engraved gleaming brass lid surround. The original protective wrapper, box, pouch, puff, sifter and guarantee rosette are present. The whole item was lacquered by the maker and so it will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The compact is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND on the mirror bezel and Stratton on the inner lid. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The catches and hinges work exactly as they should. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 90 grams.
