A lovely mid-century Gwenda brand loose foundation compact which was crafted to celebrate the coronation of Princess Elizabeth in 1953. A charming portrait of Queen Elizabeth II graces the lid. This compact is suitable for use with loose face powder or as a handbag mirror. The hinge is signed GWENDA BRITISH MADE. The original lid protector, puff & sifter are present. The mirror is excellent and gives an accurate and good reflection. The base is decorated with a guilloche design. All clasps and hinges work very well. Measures 8.2 cm & weighs 102.6 grams. An immaculate pouch is included.
