A lovely gilt Stratton brand vanity set in the original black velvet clad case. The set does not have any traces of face powder and looks gleaming clean. The original pouch, puff and sifter are present. The lid is decorated with an etched design the makers named linen and embossed roses. The compact and the accessories are in excellent unused condition. The makers lacquered the brass and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The hinge and clasp work perfectly. The compact is signed Stratton England. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 72 grams.

This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror, for all loose face powder and also with pressed foundation pans measuring 59-67mm diameter.
