A lovely unused 1950s Stratton brand compact. A minutely observed hand painted battle ship scene graces the lid. The whole compact is decorated with golden lacquered enamel. The mirror bezel is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND. The original box, felt pouch, guarantee rosette and puff are present. This model has a layer of felt around the powder well wall and so it does not need and was not made with a sifter. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 90.4 grams.
