Such an eye-catching vintage Stratton compact mirror! The lid is decorated with glossy black enamel and deep crimson roses. The original pouch, instruction leaflet, puff and sifter are present. A beautiful vintage accessory which is gleaming clean and free of any powder residue. The compact is in very good condition. Under the glare of a very bright studio lamp a couple of tiny pin prick areas of enamel loss can be seen if you move the compact from side to side. This is in no way detracts from the appeal of this compact. It is mentioned to create a completely accurate condition report.

The maker's applied a gilt lacquered finish which will prevent tarnishing and so it will not require any cleaning. The interior case opens to reveal a mirror which gives a good and accurate reflection. Measures 8.5 cm diameter. Weighs 100.6 grams.

This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror, for all loose face powder and also with pressed foundation pans measuring 59-67mm diameter.
