A stunningly beautiful vintage Stratton powder compact. The lid is embellished with an enamel decoration the makers described as "jewel design on black enamel background". There isn't any loss of enamel / design. The whole compact is gleaming clean and appears to be free of any powder residue. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The mirror bezel is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND. The compact is protected by a gilt finish which will prevent tarnishing or the need for cleaning.

Excellent condition.

Measures 3 1/4 inches diameter. Weighs 105.2 grams. An immaculate pouch is included.

This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror, for use with all loose foundation and also with pressed foundation pans measuring 59-67 mm diameter.
