A wonderful fully hallmarked 9ct gold Edwardian locket which was assayed at Chester in 1908. Ivy leaves adorn both sides of this portrait locket. Ivy symbolises everlasting love, deep friendship, fidelity or wedded bliss.

The ornate engravings also feature acanthus leaves which represent everlasting life. A single forget-me-not can be seen just above the shield cartouche. The shield motif represents a desire to protect the wearer.

The hinges and catches work perfectly. The interior locket contains both of the original frames, card backings and clear portrait protectors.

This solid gold locket will hold two portraits or photographs. We have included an eighteen inch necklace, so that this pendant can be worn immediately.
