A 1940s sterling silver Siam niello compact. Both the lid and base are embellished with niello and ornately engraved sterling silver images. The base is decorated with The Floating Pagoda. The lid is decorated with Nang Fa, the Fairy of Happiness. She is dropping stardust from her hand to the floor - spreading happiness.
The whole piece is in good condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good and accurate.

This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror or as a display collectible.

Measures 6.8 cm & weighs 66.2 grams.
