The compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.

The lid is embellished with an ancient Shinto shrine.

The whole set is protected with a layer of lacquer which means it will not need to be cleaned.

The gilt border surrounding the mother of pearl decoration is engraved with scrolls.

All clasps & hinges work perfectly.

The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.

The original presentation box, pouch, puff and sifter are included.

This compact measures 7.3 cm diameter.

The lipstick holder will hold lipstick tubes measuring 12 mm diameter.

The lipstick mechanism works perfectly.

The lipstick holder measures 5.5 cm long.

The wooden presentation case is decorated with a waxed paper cladding made to look like snake skin.

The interior lid is lined with pale pink material.

The interior base is fitted with crimson velvet over custom made recesses.

The case measures 15.5 x 10.7 cm.
