Antique Elgin half hunter pocket watch, 1911.

The watch has a 7 jewel grade 292 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 15136893 which dates it back to 1911. The movement is protected by an inner cover which has a few surface scratches.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made for Elgin by the Keystone Watch Case Company. The case has a little unevenness to the back, and a little rubbing in places but overall very acceptable for such a piece of its age.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition (some reflection showing in the photos).

The signed dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
