Victorian navette shape brooch, set with a single ruby and two seed pearls.The brooch has a glass fronted compartment to the rear of the brooch to house a keepsake of, for example, a photo or lock of hair.
The brooch is fully hallmarked 9ct gold, was assayed in Chester in 1893, and bears the maker's mark of "WHC" for William Henry Christie.
The brooch measures approximately 5 cm (2") by 2cm (.75").
The securing pin works well.
