Description

Antique silver cream jug of plain design.
The cream jug is faintly engraved with the initials "EJ".

The jug is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1886 and the makers Hillard and Thomason. The hallmark also carries Queen Victoria's head.
Additionally the jug has been stamped for the retailer Spiridion Cardiff.
All marks are clear.

Hilliard and Thomason worked out of Spencer Street Birmingham.

The jug stands 6.5 cm (2.5") tall and is 6.5 cm (2.5") in diameter at its widest. It weighs 72 grams.
All measurements are approximate.

The silver is in reasonable overall condition with no splits. There are a few dents, mostly round the base and the lip is slightly misshapen.
