WW2 Italy Star.

This medal was awarded for one or more days service in Sicily or Italy in 1943, 1944 or 1945.
The medal could also be awarded for service in Yugoslavia, Greece, Corsica or Sardinia between some other specified dates.
Naval personnel qualified if they were directly involved in active operations in the Mediterranean Sea for the specified dates, providing they also were eligible for the 1939-1945 star.
For the RAF the qualification was operational service against the enemy from bases within the Mediterranean theatre.

This medal was not engraved with the recipient's name.

This full size medal measures approximately 4 cm (1.5") by 4.5 cm (1.75") excluding the suspension ring.
