This is a plain design menu or place card holder.

The menu holder is fully hallmarked for London, 1959 and the makers Chantry Silversmiths Limited.
The hallmarks are crisp and clear.

The Chantry Silversmiths mark was registered in 1954 by John Henry Richardson and Victor Albert Gondolo of Grays Inn Road, London WC1. At some point the company was taken over, and the mark retained, by W.Evans who worked from the same address.

The base of the menu holder is 3.3 cm (1.3") in diameter, and it stands 2.7 cm (1.1") tall. It weighs 22 grams.

The silver is in very good condition.
