Description

A very good quality traditional carved oak monks bench with under seat storage, c1890s. Made of solid oak with detailed carving, carved seat back, matching carved bench seat with storage beneath, carved lion arms and support for the turned down top, matching carving to the front of the base. This is one of the most decorative monks benches we have seen. In excellent condition.

These are very versatile pieces of furniture: hall seat with shoe storage, hall table with storage, television table with storage for Sky boxes etc below.
