Born in Lincolnshire in 1948, David studied Fine Art at Loughborough College of Art where he gained a Degree in painting. He then spent a postgraduate year at Goldsmiths College.

After graduating he spent time experimenting with sculpture and various printmaking techniques particularly silkscreen, but as his work evolved he became more attracted to the immediacy of paint, his new work finding an appreciative audience.

David specialises in English landscapes, coastal and beach scenes with an emphasis on the East Anglian countryside where he lives and works.

David's work has been purchased by patrons from all over the world in addition to having a firm following of British collectors. He also regularly exhibits his work in one-man shows and in various galleries in and around East Anglia. He is always happy to under take commissions.

All of my items are sent with tracked delivery and insurance cover. I take great care in the packaging of each item and won’t scrimp on packaging material. I must adhere to this policy to protect both you, my customer, and myself from any damage and/or lost in post situations. Each charge for postage & packaging is a reflection of this. I don’t attempt to profit in any way from the postage & packaging charge and thank you for your understanding and acceptance of this.

Combined Postage

I'm happy to combine postage & packaging for multiple purchases, IF it doesn’t risk damage to any item. As postage costs are based upon package weight and value, I would need to re-evaluate the total charge.
Terms and conditions
All products purchased through John Austin Antiques are covered by my 14 day no quibble guarantee. If you are not totally satisfied with your order or have simply changed your mind, please return the product to me within 14 days of your order date and I will refund you for the product. Please include a brief letter including your name and address and an explanation as to why you are returning the item(s). Please note I do not refund your postage.

If the reason for your return is due to breakage/damage in transit, please take photos of the product in its original packaging and email these to me at antiquesjohn1@gmail.com as I will require these to make a compensation claim from the postal service used.
