Description

This is a very good smokers bow armchair or desk /kitchen chair. It is Victorian, dating to around 1880. The armchair is made in ash and elm. It has a wide thick elm saddle seat, a bowed top rail on bobbin turned supports, shaped arms and has turned ash legs and stretchers. It is a handsome period chair.

The chair is in good condition. Evidence (minor) of old worm - long since dead and filled. Colour good. Joints good.

This is a handsome period chair. It could be used as a desk chair as it is large and comfortable. It could also be used as a kitchen chair in a country house kitchen. Good thing.

The chair seat is 17.5 inches high and the back is at 32 inches and it is 25 inches from outsuide arm to outside arm.
